Mill Creek Coalition
The Mill Creek Coalition brought together neighborhood organizations and community, political, religious, and business leaders active in the neighborhood. The MCC/WPLP partnership began in 1999, when Frances Walker, chair of the MCC's Environment Committee, invited Anne Spirn to make a presentation on the Mill Creek. This led to several joint projects. From 2000-2002, MCC worked with the Philadelphia Water Department to promote better mutual understanding of watershed and other issues between Mill Creek residents and city agencies.
